There’s something special about Manchester. Maybe it’s the cool cosmopolitan vibe, or because it’s the music capital of the UK, or perhaps it could be the footballing legacy…whatever the reason, the spirit of the city is infectious, and we love it.

Last year, Time Out readers voted Manchester the best city in the UK, and third worldwide – the creative buzz and community-minded nature of our people is undeniable and for a city three times smaller than London, it can certainly hold its own.

We Love Manchester

‘Don’t talk about what you are going to do, do it.’

Manchester was the home of the industrial revolution during the 19th century, inventing itself as a great powerhouse of industry and progress, an era which earned the city the symbol of the Worker Bee, and for more than 250 years it has represented an industrious hive of activity which is still very much alive today.

The energy and hard-working attitude of the people of Manchester is visible in the 24/7/365 nature of the city; as the quote says, ‘For Manchester is the place where people do things…. Don’t talk about what you are going to do, do it.’

The way that we work with our clients reflects this drive to ‘get things done’. Our clients range from prestigious hospitality venues within the Greater Manchester area, to daily bus stop and shelter cleaning, each job with its own unique set of requirements and challenges.

We understand that our clients have individual requirements, and we work with them to develop tailored solutions, ensuring that services are carried out in the most efficient manner. Through understanding the right day or time to accomplish certain tasks, our services are unobtrusive and cause minimal disruption to our clients’ customers. One example of this is the out of hours cleaning we provide for clients, for instance on a Sunday night, when there are fewer people around, meaning the service will be less disruptive.

Developing lasting working relationships

Our client base is as diverse as the city of Manchester itself, and we’re proud of the fact that we support such a broad range of sectors, with services such as window cleaning, specialist cleaning (carpet cleaning and gutter cleaning, for example) and housekeeping support services. Our hospitality clients include the Lowry Hotel, Stock Exchange, Malmaison, Hotel Football, Hilton DoubleTree, Radisson, Kimpton Clocktower, Ducie Street Warehouse, and the Marriott Hotel. We also have clients within block management, education, healthcare, housing associations, leisure and the public sector.

We’ve worked with some of these clients for many years, and in the case of Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM), a partnership has developed over more than a decade.

Within our remit for TfGM is the cleaning of over 900 bus stops, shelters, and stations on a daily, weekly, and fortnightly basis. The shelters range from a standard shelter to a Grade A shelter, consisting of 30 panels of glass that can be seen within Piccadilly Bus Station.

In addition to the deep cleaning and bus shelter cleaning we provide across Greater Manchester, we undertake commercial cleaning at TfGM’s head offices, and recently designed and mobilised a bespoke sanitising programme to facilitate TfGM’s employees and customers return to work.

These partnerships have been built around the five core values which underpin our business:

  1. Safety – Best practice, no compromise
  2. Quality – Right, first time
  3. Passion – Fully committed, always
  4. Accountability – I take ownership
  5. Fairness – Fair pay, sustainable society

Commenting on why clients continue to choose to work with us, Fabien Caqueret, MD, says, “Our clients know that using The Tudor Group to deliver their cleaning and support services means complete peace of mind. We’ve built a reputation for our high standard of work, the quality of our staff and our commitment to doing the job right, first time.

“We believe that our strong work ethic is representative of the people of Manchester, which has developed into one of the largest cities in Europe but kept its northern, working-class identity, with a friendly touch. With its rich history, multicultural population, and diversity, Manchester is considered one of the best places to work and live in the UK, and we couldn’t agree more.”
